Who cares about the lyrics??? Music is IMO about Music. And lyrics are there, that the music doesn't feel lonely.

While personally I don't consider lyrics to be THE most important thing, I definitely think they play an important part in creating the overall package...the music is of course the main attraction (metalcore genre distinction notwithstanding) but to just totally discount lyrics as 'unimportant' and 'meaningless' seems pretty silly to me. Personally, some bands' lyrics make the already awesome music that much better (Opeth, Death, the list could be endless), and the artists involved usually put a lot of time and effort into the lyrics as well as the music. That, then, is why we take offense at these pathetic attempts at lyrics by these pathetic attempts at bands, because they make a mockery of those willing to pour themselves into their music and create something moving and unique, by just churning out mindless cliche-ridden dross that could be written by a retarded chicken in a coma. Think about it

Yes, but there are other bands who are also not THE masters of lyrics, and nobody cares. For example Slayer. And there are bands where nobody understands the lyrics like in Black Metal or Death Metal.

Slayer are the total masters of lyrics. And there are many Death/Black/Grind bands where you can hear the lyrics.

Just because they're unintelligible, doesn't mean they can't still be awesome...'None So Vile' being the case-resting argument. Anyway, if you don't care about lyrics, then go nuts with all the shitty metalcore you can find - at least that's not hard! At the risk of sounding like a pretentious bastard, I prefer my music with a little more depth, but each to their own by all means Apologies to the above-mentioned album for mentioning it in a BFMV thread btw

Maybe because English is not my native language, I can ignore the worst lyrics.

But what I don't understand is, that many BfmV and Trivium Haters like real metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage, because they are even worse in the lyrics with more emo crap.

Why is it that the worst the bands are the more comments the review gets?

Because the good reviews/bands need no discussion.

On Xbox Live and PSN my friends would throw the occasional BFMV joke out there that had everybody in stitches, even the wigger chaps. I will say that I like this albums cover though, while she is not entirely how I likes 'em, it is fairly hot and attractive, and I suppose that is what the marketing is going for, horny adolecents and mallrats looking for a quick fix before the next big thing rolls along.

So, how about them Bears?

I always find crab appendages to be a turn off.

I don't mind crab appendages, as long as she doesn't have crabs.

Because more people know who these guys are and have heard their tunes than a good portion of the bands that get reviewed.

I always comment on what I listen to that is reviewed here, and since I don't listen to power metal and crap I don't post in those threads... I'm sure the same goes for other guys here as far as their respective tastes.

We've all heard this band at some point and have an opinion, so here ya go.

As someone who found a bit of enjoyment in The Poison and much to like in Scream Aim Fire, I found this far, FAR worse than either. A 30 seems about right.
