It's a good thing you pointed out that this album has been in the works for a while. I don't think he could have banged it out that fast after Dio died! In any case he does justice to the Dio songs. The original tribute song is also very good.

I thought the tribute song was a complete bore.

Sorry but if I want to hear a Dio song I want to hear his voice, Jorn is a great singer but this one isn't for me.

Jorn is a great singer but the single was poor.
I'll try it anyway but I'm pretty sure it'll be an uninteresting album.

Neat, but i'd rather listen to Dio.

Just read that Jorn is fronting Heaven and Hell on a gig in England

Yup, him and Glenn Hughes. My guess is that Jorn may become the new singer for H&H.

And this album is excellent. Sure the Dio versions are great, but Jorn does a fantastic job.

That tribute song and video were so bad that I refuse to listen to anything else Jorn's done because only a really terrible person would do something like that to Dio.

Interesting selection of songs. Jorn didn't go for Dio's more familiar tunes, and even added some newer material for Magica and Killing the Dragon. Pretty cool.

I wonder if the Dio estate will ever release the material Dio was working on for Magica II?

Yeah, and it's pretty good. It was out on that limited edition box set he put out last year.

I wish I'd bought two like I had planned. But I forgot. =( Fuckers sell for well over $300 on eBay now.

And there is also Metal Will Never Die - to be released on the new David Rock Feinstein (Dio's cousin) new album:
