Photos of a 13 year old who, with her mother's permission and even enthusiasm, made a pretty penny by posing as a topless model and attending parties for big hollywood names. This was no angel, this was one of those "sex crimes" girls that realizes too early how to use sex as a tool.

I like how this was the only 13 year old in the whole of 70s Hollywood to be sexually active. Of course, Polanski broke the law, but he's already been tried for this - should every criminal from the 70s be retried because the punishment doesn't fit in with modern thinking?

In the United States having photos of a naked child is possession of a child pornography. All I'm arguing is that a rapist should be punished for being a rapist. How is this so not common sense?

Her mother wanted her to be an actress not a rape viction. How are those in any way equal? How do those reduce the fact that she was given a quaalude? She drugged herself now because she is a "sex crimes" girl? Define this term because to me it sounds like you say some women set themselves up to be raped and it's one step away from saying they "deserved" it. Unless you're saying she was prostituting herself out for a job then there was no reason having sex with her would be even remotely justifiable by your logic and the fact that she was drugged casts doubt on her being willing and prostituting it. This diminishes Polanski's agency in the act who as an adult knew she was a child who he shouldn't fuck. He had sex with a kid. That's fucked up, no?

He received an appropriate punishment according to the 70s court system, Trapt, and ran from a harsh punishment from a bastard, corrupt judge. Again, would you have every case from then re-examined to fit in with modern, post-feminist, politically correct thinking?
