I'm expecting something superior to any album released by U.D.O.

I like U.D.O., cause is solid and great. But Accept with UDO was something really incredible.
If it's as good as any U.D.O. release, I'd be happy.

Looking forward to it, personally. In Sorte Diaboli was great, at least to for me... So yeah, can't wait.

The album title isn't three words; it's gonna be their worst yet.

I'll listen to it, at least. The music video tracks from the last one were fun in a silly kind of way.

The shadow effects remind me of the artwork for Deathkvlt, hopefully one of you guys nuke the album for the piece of shit it will be.

Assuming something is shitty even before you've listened to it is what I call major idiocy.
But, come to think of it, it sits pretty well with the persona you built here.

You've already shown your undying love for the shitty band, so your defense of Shaggy anf the gang is to be expected. I'm going off of my experience that Deathkvlt and In Sorte Diaboli were overpolished pieces of shit, so I have no reason to assume the band pulled a 360 in terms of quaility for this album. Calling my statement "idiocy" is nothing compared to you considering the band "black metal".

The predicament is still relevant even if Cotb and Warfeloup had their argument with each other, as songs like Vredysbyrd, Cataclysm children, and Progenies of the great apocalypse bare little if any semblance to For al Tid. The album compared to For al tid is a frivolous sham, and the power chords and simplistic riffing are a far cry from anything on it Enthrone Darkness triumphant. A band can only strip their elements down so much until they gut their sound, and Dimmu Borgir had reduced all of their tolerable elements, to earn Nuclear Blast $$$ call it whatever you will it's not worthy of the term black metal..

I'm going to listen to the Emu Boromir I have again, just so I can say "what about the bit in 'Darkness Shining Risen/Eternal Glory Fire/Satan March Mountains/etc' where there's blastbeats?"

Or you can review their new album and smash it for the waste of raw materials it is Zadcock

I think someone else is already all up in that. Not especially interested in writing up all these big releases now we have new writers, anyways - I want to retreat into Lugubrum archives and the like.

But, to take an example, Progenies of the Great Apocalypse, imho, is great music. Not black metal, ok, but damn interesting symphonic, uh, pop/rock?

There is a lot to be touched upon especially Atheist's "Jupiter", and the new Blut Aus Nord both of which I'm eager to read.

And why not Tres Hombres (classic) and some Thin Lizzy... and other awesome stuff in the request zone.

Don't worry, the new Atheist is mine (not sure about the BAN). And I really must review some ZZ Top. I won't be giving up completely on the big names, just spreading the love a little, since I seem to have done quite a few lately.
