Originality is a dying art in almost anything these days. I mean look at Hollywood. They keep shoving those stupid parody movies down our throats it gets really boring.

And remakes that 90% of the time are inferior to the original.

Hollywood's always made tons of crap. It's not the best place to look for originality though because the movies are made to appeal to millions of people so lowest common denominator etc. I don't think originality is any more or less prevalent than its ever been.

If you look for originality in movies, Hollywood really is not the place.

imo there are boatloads of original bands; they really aren't very hard to find at all. Could probably name 100 original bands who've released albums in the last 5 years ez

You could name 100 bands, and I'm sure you'd think they were original. But they wouldn't be.

Yeah they would bro

Nuh-uh!

You see, you might think they are, but that is because you're not as old and wise as Ken. He's been there, done that, he knows the score. The other advantage that he has is the ability to set up an impossibly restrictive definition of "originality" to the extent that it makes it completely meaningless as a term.

I think I've heard more "original" bands than not. In fact, it's tough for me to even think of bands I wouldn't consider original...
