Primus and Claypool could do no wrong in the 90's, I even like The Brown Album.

Really like this album although I've never found it as cohesive as Sailing the Seas of Cheese or Frizzle Fried or Pork Soda. Might be because I bought it on CD without having heard it which always makes my opinions of an album feel slightly off.

And that marks exactly half your posts whining about the same thing now, most of them using the exact same wording. Maybe it's time you learnt another English phrase, perhaps commenting on one of the many, many 'proper' metal albums that we do review?

I have been reading the site religiously for years. It is an excellent site, and for that you are to be commended and have my sincerest gratitude. I tend to agree with the majority of the proper metal reviews. However, the only time I feel motivated to actually post something is when I strongly disagree with a review and nobody else on the forum is presenting an opposing viewpoint. I only listen to proper metal and don't like anything else. Seeing non-metal releases reviewed on a purported metal site doesn't lessen my appreciation of this site, but it does compel me to express my annoyance on the forum. Seeing Primus reviewed on here was particularly irritating because I detest them. The old Headbangers Ball used to play them, and I thought their music was complete and utter crap with no resemblance to metal. I suppose my "whining" is my attempt, no doubt in vain, to keep 'em honest and just stick to metal.

Keep up the good work :)

Many metal fans, including me, enjoy them even if they aren't "proper" metal. If you don't like the band, fine, but is it really necessary to express your annoyance just because others in the metal community do? Try to be a little more constructive, that's all.

I don't see complaining about non-metal bands being reviewed on a metal site as being unconstructive. The purpose of this forum is to express opinions, right? Years ago, others complained about non-metal bands being reviewed here (eg Evanescence). These days it seems like I'm the only one.

And I personally don't care if something's metal or not.

I am very glad that you hate Primus. That makes you the butt of their joke.

Lulz.

Of course metal is not the only good source of music out there. Anybody who thinks so is an idiot.

Whether or not metal is the only music you like cannot be debated. You either only like that or you like other stuff too.

Why post albums by non metal bands? Because metal, like jazz, classical, rock, etc. is able to be spread out and influenced upon many genres. If someone was to review an album by Naked City and you started going, "Only metal!" everybody would be confused. I mean, the band isn't "really" heavy metal, but what the hell else are you going to call it without having to use "it's like..."

If you don't like the band, cool story bro.

If you don't like the band solely because they aren't metal then you are a fool. Looking at the huge amount of death metal in Les and Larry's past, I'd say that they "get metal" a lot better than most of us ever will.

Holy_Terror has already been beating this horse for years. This horse will never die. You are not unique or original or expressing a shocking viewpoint, you're merely being close-minded. Please go away.

That said, this album is awesome.

E: Oh god I necro'd this hard. Sorry!
