"pretty soon you'll have all of the songs memorized and you'll quickly get bored."

What the hell? If I _can't_ memorize the songs after two or three listenings then I get bored. Isn't the deal about power metal the memorable choruses and catchy arrangements? Gonna give this a listen and post an opinion of it later.

Yes, but, I find that the minority of catchy music is enjoyable more than say, 3-4 listens. To me, this is one of those albums that doesn't hold it's appeal for very long. I never claimed catchiness was a bad thing, I just was of the opinion that while this is catchy it doesn't have very much longevity. Does that make any more sense?

I've given it a listen now and, while I still don't agree that catchyness in general is a valid point to get bored of a song, I can agree to that while this album is catchy it's also pretty bland. The songs are good but not great and the band doesn't have a unique sound. Pretty much sounds like anything else.
The song 'No turning back' is pretty nice and all but I believe a band like Last Tribe would've made that song just so much better. It just doesn't pack the punch it's supposed to.
And well, the production isn't top notch, sadly. Way too compressed (you can hear the sidechaining very clearly, and i hate sidechaining in metal) and too much high frequencies in the overall mix.
I'm normally not a guy to blame production but with this band i'll make an exception. I think this album would've been much better if performed by another band as well.

No offence, but I really didn't agree with this review, particularly because I think that you have not given credit where credit is due. I've also had to write a review for this album and I thought it was much better than what this review indicates.

Reading it, I felt that you didn't really care much for the album and that came out in the review.

This album has received very high scores and very positive reviews around the globe, so I was surprised when I saw this review and the 70/100 score. It deserves at least 85 in my book. You have to remember, when writing a review, you are trying to help a reader's decision whether or not they would be interested in the band and album and potentially listen to it or buy it.

You are entitled to your opinions and thats fine, but that review seriously did no good for either party.

Lastly, InnerWish sound NOTHING like Manowar....they really don't

If you really really dig this kind of Metal, you'll likely find more to like than I, but for everyone else, you're not missing too much if you pass it up.

Fair enough, I haven't heard a whole lot of Manowar and it has been awhile. I have heard plenty of Power Metal however, and this is in no way the top of the heap. I will likely never listen to this album again, it's just way too average.
