EI has somewhat of a point. The reason though why some compare the stuff today to 20 years ago is because the stuff some bands today suck compared to some of their stuff 20 years ago. I don't mind bands changing here and there but as long as it sounds good and it doesn't sacrifice their core sound I don't mind it.

But bands like Edguy and Queensryche pretty much got rid of their key signature style in favor to appease the mainstream masses or try to appease them.

JMHO

By the way way where is that Zad dude? I always enjoyed in brand of nonsensical, over the wall antics   I guess we have to stick with Goat :P

Yeah, I miss Zad vs Ken flamewars. Now we have Goat vs Satan's Anus flamewars, and it's not the same.

Hell, I once sent a friend of mine storming home in tears of frustrated rage from the pub because I was a bit too forceful in explaining to him why the bands I like are better than the Kaiser Chiefs. Another time, I basically caused an irreconcilable rift in our social group which still isn't healed four years later when I respnded perhaps a little bluntly to a friend's girlfriend's remark that "oh you don't like all that screamy crap, do you?". If that makees me immature, so be it......... :D

See posts like this are the reason I'm pissed off at myself for not posting here anymore. I just can't seem to find an hour or so to dedicate to browsing the forum like I used to. Five minutes here or there just seems pointless.

Also I, like Eternal, just kinda got sick of getting caught up in the same old arguments with the same old people. Is this the warning shot from a new, resurgent, more laid-back Rad? We shall see!

And I was one of the funny ones? Daaaaaaaawwww, shucks :)

After the first 8 words I thought you were going to continue "... hate rio and everyone like him for being such nobheads" but I'm glad you didn't :dio:

Haha, the irony of noodles making fun of anything is exquisite.

I don't think that is what he means. I think what he means is attacking each other's taste in music is a waste of time. And it is.

I could have gone without the coming of age story.

....and for my first post in 5 years (?), I'll ask about Valfor. I seem to remember a huge fight between him and some of the other reviewers, but he and another younger guy were who I turned to for Black Metal reviews. Was it Misha that was so big into Noenum and Taake back in the day?
