I guess in some sort of archivist way it would be interesting to read his thoughts, though from what I've gathered from your review his ego is still massive as one can expect. Giving birth to thrash metal?, I don't think so buddy, especially with all of the vibrant scenes all around the world playing while Megadeth was sitting high atop the laughably erroneous "Big four". His thoughts about getting the boot from Metallica I'm sure are loaded with his own personal vendetta, while Megadeth is a cherished name within the music, the Metallica logo still looms much higher than his band. If he seriously claimed to "make Slayer" though, that is one of the funniest jokes I've heard in quite some time..

'His teeth were like a bunch of bloody Chiclets...'

Quality storytelling, if you're into so cheesy it's good material. Tired subject matter.

He says he taught Kerry King the tritone and that they've used it in every song since or something like that. I took a little license, but when you read it, it's pretty clear what his point is.

I mean it's pretty typical ghost-written musician memoir fare. I certainly can't imagine he wants his kids to read it. He tries to play it off as cautionary tale / story of redemption, but it's pretty clear he's bragging about his various unsavory exploits. A "rock star" to the last.

I've read Christian book reviews describing this as a tale of redemption and I lol.

Contra all of his statements, actions and mannerisms, he apparently disagrees with that inequality.

I am usually not a fan of metal biops unless they have a ton of info that you never would have known before. Dream Theater's book was FILLED with info.

I imagine that this is filled up with most of the same stuff we've read on Blabbermouth for ten years.

Well, IMO, of course, because:
Real person (and one hell of musician) > any invisible friend.

I wouldn't really call it a flame war. I called him cute, he told me to die.

You'd think that after being born again he would stop falling victim to pride.

Sounds about the same as I always heard him described - arrogant and full of himself.

Long title but it sums up nicely everything we know about him.

You're ignoring the fact that the last Megadeth album was quite good.
