What are you talking about? its the exact same chord progression as glycerine by bush with the same strum pattern and everything! (FCDBb) Even some of the vocal patterns are similar.
Only difference is Dev puts the layers on like he always does and bush has nothing but the bare minimum playing.

Anyways, I've since grown an appreciation for the song after a few spins.

Actually, it's not.

Yeah it is.

No, it's not.

Not at all. It's simply not the same.

Maybe I need to not dismiss female fronted bands so quick.

You shouldn't. There are some brilliant bands out there with chick singers.

This is the first Devy album I can't get into for some reason. Perhaps I haven't been listening to it in the "right mood" but none of the songs stood out to me, and I've tried at least 3 times (before you make fun of me for 3 being a small number, think---do you listen to albums you don't like 3 times). I plan on listening again sometime when there's a drastic change in my life, but for now, I think I belong to the small camp of people who think Ki was miles and miles above this.

I didnt particularly care for Strapping Young Lad, and I like Devin's solo material even less. But he is a damn good musician.

Ghost is gonna be an album and an EP, and Deconstruction might have an orchestra and choir on it lol

Quote:
I will split the record into two parts. I have enough material for 2 records, and I've been trying to decide which goes where. But while driving and then sleeping in my car, I wanted the MAIN Ghost to be pretty much strictly beautiful. So the main Ghost will be very pretty (Nice Ghost)... the tracklist is as follows:

FLY
HEART BABY
FEATHER
KAWAII
GHOST
BLACKBERRY
MONSOON
TEXADA
INFINITE OCEAN
AS YOU WERE

This is the 'real' album that will be the main addition to the dtp 4 records. However, another Ghost evolved, and it will contain the following:

RADIAL HIGHWAY
WATCH YOU
DRENCH
FALL
MOONSHINE
PERSPECTIVE
HOME

...this will be the companion e.p, (dark Ghost) ... I love it, but it interferes with the warm fuzzy I get from Nice Ghost, and the way the dtp finishes is with a meditative vibe...

DECONSTRUCTION:

Face ripping, no holds barred, soul crushing ker-shittery. More updates soon

Deconstruction looks like I might be able to use the choirs and orchestras that Dimmu and Therion use, not confirmed yet, but I'm working on it..

Yo:

'tour EP, live acoustic EP, ziltoid live DVD, secret project with guest musicians... '

Tour EP got squashed by label and management.
Live Acoustic EP as well... I have it all mixed and ready, but they don't want to release it for fear of 'oversaturation'
...and contractually, I can't just pound them onto the internet or anything.

...it's frustrating, but the box set will be freaking epic.

Ziltoid dvd as well, the label doesn't want to release. They say if they release a dvd, they want it to be super pro, not just a 'show'... again, frustrating.

Secret project with guest musicians fell through as far as I can tell.

So yeah, I'm passing the buck on all this... however, the Tuska show will be released in it's entirety on the Peavey website when we release the guitar (we're on the final prototype'

so...ummm///yeah.

d

I think Mars Volta have this problem too. Wish record labels would realize raving lunatic fans like me will buy everything their favourite musicians touch.

Yeah, but they also realize that the guy who will buy one DT release a year won't buy five, he'll just download them all.

Thank your shitty friends and forumites for that.
