The brilliant Mr. Townsend has created and has been featured in more albums than most musicians would ever be able to comprehend. With such a huge catalog under his belt, which album is your favorite?

Personally, I vote Terria, with City and Ocean Machine not far behind.

SYL self-titled. It's the only Devin Townsend work I truly love. It's a very primal and pissed off album.

Accelerated Evolution, Terria, Infinity, SYL, City, Alien, and Ki are all contenders though.

Biomech for me. Funeral, Bastard, and The Death Of Music are really fucking powerful as closing tracks.

One of the most over-rated guys in metal.

For me, it's a tie between Terria & SYL self-titled.

I've only heard Alien and sounded like a more repetitive version of Static-X to me.

Can't decide. I'd say its a toss up between Terria, Infinity, Biomech, Alien, and City. I'll go with Infinity just becasue it was what got me into Devy.

Terria is magical.

I've never listened to most of his stuff, although I really should. The problem is that I just don't know where to begin. I've heard a lot of songs on their own and I remember liking almost every single one of them, especially those on Alien.

imo the only albums you can really go wrong with are Physicist and The New Black, and even those have some great songs. Everything else ranges from good to amazing.

I just started loving The New Black. I like the poppiness and the ignorant aspects to it.

City got my vote.

City for sure. And it's probably bias talking. It was one of the first metal CD's I got and it holds a special place in my heart. It definitely influenced my taste in metal.
