What are the songs and riffs that instantly induce a revery like state when you hear them? Does the song meld well with the general vibes from the album, or is it a peculiar song that stands out as it's own special oddity?

Agreed.

Also agreed, even when taking into consideration that there are around sixteen total riffs throughout the album. Eight songs, approx. two riffs per song... when you look at it that way, it's a miracle how entrancing that album is.

Branikald - Microcosm of the Spirit

Xasthur - Moon Shrouded In Misery / Suicide In Dark Serenity
Xasthur - Doomed By Howling Winds

Valefar - Seni Uzkeikimai Drakulos Pily
Valefar - In Memoriam Dead

TENEBRAE IN PERPETUUM - Un Sogno Oscuro (Horna split version)

Covenant - Towards the Crown of Nights (original version, not the lame remake)

In fact entire album (In Time Before the Light) is chock full of hypnotic riffs.
A shame they went and destroyed this hidden gem.

The only song with different drumming is Skald Av Satans Sol

Many guitar lines in Cult of Luna's work and Neurosis, truly have an enchanting and otherworldly feel. I think thats the intention of a lot of post-metal and funeral doom

Buried Inside -- I

That song instantly came to mind when I saw this thread.

Also, Converge--You Fail Me. But not as much as "I".
