It's been a long time and they are still going, I have yet to hear Thornography but if it's as good as people have said, it might be on the level Damnation and a day was. I don't see how one can logically compare them to Dimmu though, even though you note that this album was not as advertised nearly as thorough as the piece of shit Abrahadabra was.

yeah and the day you write a song thats as good as dimmu borgirs worst song I'll give you 20 bucks.

Abrahadabra is a fucking cool album other than sometimes the vocals are a little annoying in parts.

In a world where Abrahadabra was advertised heavily on many popular heavy metal websites (and, surprisingly, given all-around decent scores), it seems ironic that Cradle hasn’t been promoting their new album with the same amount of dedication.

No kidding....I didn't even know they had a new album.

How could you not compare them? They are both fruity symphonic "black" metal. The little I've heard of both sounded very comparable.

I've always preferred Dimmu over Cradle of Filth. For some reason they've always annoyed me. I'll check this out but I'm very doubtful that this will change my mind.

Dimmu Borgir sounds nothing like Cradle of Filth.

It's just funny seeing kids who probably play guitar once a week and never have even worked on a musical project sit around and diss world famous metal bands that have been around almost 20 years and have made a living off of it.

eww dimmu borgir is so gay they have keyboards eww dimmu borgir actually makes money doing what they love that's so fucking lame.

No I'm an actual smart person looking to make some money doing something I enjoy in my life and I'm going to carry a good attitude about it.

I'll give it a shot but CoF, like Dimmu, has kinda worn thin on me over the years even though I am a fan of both bands... I think they should take some time off and come up with something interesting, because I'm willing to bet I know exactly how this is going to sound.

Heaps of black metal bands know how to use keyboards properly, Dimmu is not one of them.

So you are saying we can't criticize them because they are in a popular band and have been in business for a long time? And we are not?

So by your logic music bands can only be reviewed and criticized by other musicians and Kesha and Katy Perry are "doing something right" ?

You are obviously trolling

I listened to the first few songs and it's pretty much what I figured it'd be ( Sorry, Rio. ) . I'll probably go through it a bit more later but I have some other albums I'm enjoying, and some far better black metal in Martolea.

The score is probably spot on, and that's not really a TERRIBLE thing. It's just they're not doing anything new.
