Could be my thrash bias, but I would have rated this even higher. It's fucking dramatic as all hell--and as much I love blackened or death-tinged thrash when it's done right (Skeletonwitch for everything) it's always great to see a thrash band finding ways to up the genre's brutality to modern standards without cribbing from the more brutal genres.

(Yes, the band have been called black/thrash, but other than the general attitude and maybe the vocals this hits me as pure thrash)

Nice review, I also happen to be from Perth, great to see some local stuff being reviewed here (along with Mhorgl, Karnivool etc.)...now I just have to listen to it myself! I've only just heard about these guys quite recently, and haven't chased them up yet. Drummer Louis Rando was also a member of melodeathsters Pathogen a few years back - their album Bloodline was pretty decent, and they supported Opeth, Mayhem and Entombed, among others. *end local plug*
