A hangover of perverse conceptual puritanism. The idea that drinking per se is inherently negative baffles me. To be fair, I'm quite drunk right now, but still. Bah.

Alcohol can and too frequently does destroy lives, period.

Noodles, you are better off not drinking at all if that continues happening to you.

- finally get over things that happened in the past which are making me miserable
- get my driver's license
- meet new people
- get a better guitar and actual lessons
- a decent job for in the weekend
- work out and gain some weight.

That's about it I think. Not expecting too much really.

- Meet new people.. I don't have a lot of friends in Oslo, and if I lose my GF now, I definitely have to get out and about

- Get the music going, and joining a band

- Get a bit more disciplined when it comes to working out and diets and stuff.

- Keeping up the good work at school, which has been good to me lately.

- Having a blast on my one-month trip to the US this summer.

Do people get chemically addicted to driving? What is your point, other than showing your age.

No judging involved here, heaven knows I like a good beer.

I'm the only American in the thread to mention drinking but I had two pints of Guinness last night. Get yourself together, bro.

haha, nothing wrong with a few drinks, but getting to the point of it being lampshade time is lame. A lush making a fool of their self is a pretty sad spectacle.
Lack of self control and not knowing your limits is for schoolboys, though I'm not seeing how any of this relates to nationality.

Ok ok.

1 - Finally finish school and maybe get a job afterwards.
2 - Stay with my current girlfriend.
3 - Improve my guitar skills (which are non existent)
4 - Decide what kind of job I want to do (this is the hardest one)
5 - Lose 15-20 pounds and start working out
6 - Maybe learn a second language (if someone convinces me it will help with my career)
7 - Travel more (maybe visit another country for the first time)
8 - ...
9 - PROFIT!

Where you headed in the states?

Three drinks is where I notice myself talking louder so that's where I call the limit.

As far the drinking discussion goes, getting drunk is indeed lame. I do, however, enjoy a good beer and trying different types is pretty fun. Usually don't drink more than 2-3 at a time though and quite infrequently at that.

I very much understand those that abstain from alcohol completely, though. It does indeed destroy many lives if one gets addicted and abuses it. I would also argue you could say the same about food, especially here in a America. People eat themselves into terrible health problems that take a toll on themselves, their families, and friends. In the end it's all about moderation and self-control.

My 2 cents.

More steaks for dinner, less bullshit.
write another 20 songs this year that will likely go no where.
Play at least 3 shows a week.
More drinking.
More drugs.
Maybe switch to ultra-lights.
buy a synthesizer. Not a keyboard, but a synth.

I usually drink a half quart (about 500ml) in a sitting over a couple hours. I don't get hangovers ever, not even after months of not drinking. I remember throwing up the next day after drinking 10 beers like 7 years ago. Cheap beer sucks. Vodka doesn't give me hangovers or any other bullshit.

what?! dude, if definitely helps. many multinationals might have international jobs where you are allowed to work in English, but i daresay most international jobs are still in the local language.

looking at the job offers in my course website, the two most solicited languages are German and French. Spanish is also very helpful, especially if you want to work in Latin America.
