Dream Theater have entered the studio apparently. So did Portnoy by the way and he has surrounded himself with some quality musicians: Steve Morse, Neal Morse, Dave Larue and Casey Mcpherson. I'm curious how this all will turn out.

Sweet. I actually took some lessons with Dave Larue. Killer bassist.

Endstille have signed to Season Of Mist, and the new Septicflesh will be out April 18th this year.

Circle Takes the Square might finally release their new album

Quote:
DECOMPOSITIONS recording sessions have begun. On the 1st day of
January, 2011 we convened in Georgia, hailing from various locations
across the map, at our old haunt: the Rockstudio. Today we began
crafting Part I of this collection of new songs with our longtime
friend and collaborator, Anthony Stubelek. We had a fruitful first day,
as documented in the above montage of moving pictures, and completed
tracking drums for two songs. We'll continue to update this blog daily
over the next couple of weeks, as our sessions continue and as plans
for the release evolve. Thanks to everyone who has been keeping tabs on
CTTS through dry spells and downpours alike. We can not wait to share
these songs with you.

Haven't ever really been able to stomach the vocals of CTTS or bands like La Dispute or even mewithoutYou. Shame, because all of those bands do make some damn good music.

Interesting.

Decibel Magazine's cover says there should be new Amon Amarth (yawn), Morbid Angel, Baroness and Pig Destroyer albums this year. That Pig Destroyer was supposed to be out last year.

Let's open a poll to guess which colour it will be! Blue and red are gone, I'm picking green!

Finally! Not the most original album cover, but what the hell.
