I am going to please absolutely no-one with this review, I know. The vast majority of metalheads either love this or despise it.

Around here, you're right. In less perfect metallic realms, people think it's amazing. Trust me to like the idea more than the execution.

Pretty sure I'm right that absolutely everyone secretly loves Roots Bloody Roots, though. Even if they don't admit it...

And that is going to be a very small minority especially around here.

I don't dislike it because it has something to do with the terrible Nu-Metal, simply because it's a bad album. It's boring. As I already said, and everyone seemed to agree, Roots Bloody Roots is an awesome tune. Beneath the remains and Arise are two of the best albums Thrash as a genre has to offer, and Chaos A.D. was revolutionary and refreshing. But Roots is shit.

+1 to the general sentiments expressed by everyone else. Great title track and that's it.

Well, I'd like to add that Attitude and Ratamahatta are decent, but that's as far as I'll go.

I won't.

It sucks, despite claims to the contrary when I bought it coming from the peanut gallery at the record store.

I'll slightly break the chain.

I think the Derrick Green stuff is far better and A-Lex is their best album .
