Clearly for example Limp Bizkit is much maligned on these here forums, so they're underrated as I love them.

I assume it's the same for Korn, Spineshank and the mighty Coal Chamber.

Uh, say what?

It's forgivable if he was young and didn't know better.

I still listen to Dope, which is slightly more musical. At least they write better songs. It might be contrived pop metal horseshit masquerading as machismo and attitude, but it has a sense of charm.

Fuck tha police yo. They're fucking DRUG DEALERS. It's not like Edsel Dope is dorky jew from Chicago that borrowed a little heavily from his ex-roommate's band Marilyn Manson and mixed it with Motley Crue. Nothing like that at all. HARDCORE shit, like doing the weekend in jail for parking tickets.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Oh my fucking God. It's April Fool's day. I don't see why everyone is taking shit so seriously.

The above post was irony. And I don't think anyone that would have got the joke (like Dope fans) would have found it funny.

Mostly my quarrel was with this:

But it's hard to know when you're kidding, heh.

I don't see what is controversial about saying that the younger you are the more musically gullible you are.

Nevermind. All I was getting at was that it seemed like you didn't understand dead1's joke.

Mayhem- Chimera
Mayhem- Grand Declaration of War

yeah it's Mayhem but people dismiss this shit because it doesn't have Dead or Euronymous on it but I think it's extremely high quality work. I love it.

I got the joke, but even so I can see someone sticking with what they liked back in High School.

I'm just answering a straw man argument, I guess.

It's funny. I deleted every Sodom, Destruction, Every Kreator before 2000, ect. yet shit like Saliva and Drowning Pool get to stay. It's odd how that works out.

I basically only have Testament, Metallica and Megadeth for thrash that made the cut because I grew up on those bands. I kept the last 3 Kreator albums too because I heard those during the discovery of Euro-Metal era.

I regret not being exposed to the black metal I'm completely into now in high school. When I was recommended black metal people were telling me to listen to shit like Xasthur and Leviathan which I still don't even like. I remember getting deathcrush when I was 17 and enjoying it but maybe just my ears have changed to.

I think Lunar Aurora's material in general is pretty underrecognised given how great their albums are. I'm not sure they've even come out with a bad album, but there is never much talk about them.

Dead was a really good vocalist, people who don't like Maniac are fucking insane. Maniac like embodies black metal to me.

One of the reviews has been tackling their back catalog here and has given them scores so high that some have been complaining they were too high (not that I mind, as I think they are tremendous too).
