I'm considering buying an album by them. I've heard a few samples and they sound pretty kick ass. What album should I check out?

Check out Razorblade Romance first. Try and get one of the versions with the bonus tracks. Another good thing to check out is the singles box set, there's a lot of great singles, plus a lot of really good unreleased tracks.

H.I.M. is like a more somber version of To/Die/For, great stuff.

I like Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights more than Razorblade Romance. It's smokier and more casually executed.

Razorblade Romance is easier to find in stores, however, and Join Me In Death is a pretty killer song.

I don't know, I think the songwriting is better on RR.

He may as well pick both up anyway.

I find HIM to be a very average band. The only reason most of their fans like 'em is because of the frontman (most of HIM's fans being 14 year old girls) who looks like Jonny Depp, with an added Gypsy rating, and a crap moustache.

And their songs are shit too.

I don't know, man. In the US here most people like this guy because that guy from Viva La Bam on MTV is a HUGE fan!! I saw all the 12 year old kids wearing H.I.M. shirts before he even had an American distribution deal and I know those kids ain't paying $30 for the imports! Razorblade Romance was the only CD available here and it had to be under the name H.E.R. because of copyright issues or something, and that CD was hard to find around here.

Hot Topics and shit started carrying the shirts and the kids starting buying them, they also have the B.A.M. shirt with the H.I.M. logo that all the kids are wearing, too. Quite annoying if you ask me! Hehehe.

Not sure if you've ever seen Viva La Bam, but Bam Margera is a huge fan of the band, and that's cool, no doubt. But it was like overnight I start seeing this H.I.M. shit everywhere! I'm like WHAT THE FUCK? because I had to spend like $30 an album because there are none around here and I start seeing kids wearing these shirts and shit...I didn't understand until I saw this shirt (among a few other designs):

The way Bam Margera sucks the guy off all of the time it wouldn't surprise me. And yes they are pure puke on a CD. Some of the most uninspired crap ever. If your're not a 14-year old girl you have no business listening to this band. And being a Wiccan, don't even get me started on the damn "heartagram" bullshit.

Or, as its known in my circle of friends, the "bentagram" - I think you need to be from the UK or Australia for that to be funny.

Is the Heartagram thing an actual symbol of something? The first time I'd ever seen it was on a HIM album. I thought the dude invented it or something.
