Don't like it. My expectations for Deconstruction keep falling...

It's been hyped way too much. Hard to meet such high expectations. If anyone can do it it is Devy, though.

I kinda dig the huge cat face thing in the back, looks like something Jhonen Vasquez would do. Not so sure about the toon-ified Devy in the front.

And yeah, there's been a whole lot of hype for Deconstruction, but I don't expect I'll be disappointed.

That was my first thought. :D

I think what I don't like about this album cover is the fact that it doesn't fit in with the mellow vibes of the other three DTP covers. I look at all four side-by-side and the Deconstruction cover comes across as being utterly ridiculous. I prefer the subtlety of Ki, Addicted, and Ghost.

The more I expect a disaster, the more likelihood of my being pleasantly surprised!

To be fair, Deconstruction doesn't seem like it'd be a very subtle album to begin with. But yeah, the cover art is a bit wacky.

You honestly expect a disaster? Everything I've heard from the trailer videos have sounded amazing. There's too much hype, for sure, but I really don't think he'd disappoint.

Just read the track by track for the new Morbid Angel album. I think this will not be the return to form that I was hoping for. I is so disappoint  Oh well, there is always Autopsy.

Yes, apparently there's a heavy Industrial influence to some tracks, including gabba beats. I'll wait to hear it... could be brilliant, could be awful.

Perhaps not a disaster, Leg, but neither would I call what I've heard so far amazing. I think he might be a couple of years too late with this, if it's as Meshuggah-y as it sounds. Devy does djent?

I'm on this train. That cover is awful.

I really don't know what to think of it. I'd call it intriguing. No doubt about it that Ghost's cover is a lot better though.

I have a feeling Deconstruction will be completely ridiculous compared to the other 3 DTP albums.

True.

Regardless, it would be nice to have seen something a little more... sophisticated?... for the Deconstruction cover.

The people at MetalSucks claimed to have heard it and say it's amazing so I won't be bummed out just yet.

If there is any djent in it, I'm pretty sure it'd be tounge-in-cheek. iirc, I think one of the lyrics is supposed to be "We all rip off Meshuggah," so take that for what it's worth.

Because the cover art is a good indication of how good/bad the music will be. Dude, c'mon.

Almost the same as the single artwork. Bah.

Regarding Deconstruction, I'm on Goat's train as well. I'm a huge fan of Devy, almost since the beginning. I had poor expectations for his new releases every single time he had one to offer. And what, 15 years later ?he has yet to disappoint me.
Yes, I really liked Ziltoid.
