Geoff Tate has squandered his talents the last 20 years and this doesn't look to be any different. That makes me sad because they were one of the best once.

They need to call it quits. There hasn't been anything good post Promised Land that's worth listening too.

Finally! In a Flesh Aquarium was amazing.

New Scar Symmetry is tits.

Does that mean it's good or bad? Tits being a regional love and all... I thought it was meh with a couple of highlights, myself, after one listen.

I've heard comparisons to Sonic Syndicate, so more moobs than tits.

You guys are seriously lowering my expectations. Don't do that.

I really like the artwork of this one. The last album was a step down from Waves of Visual Decay so I'm hoping that wasn't a beginning of a downward spiral.

That is actually quite good. Hm, might have to give the new one a listen, they never did much for me before.

Fuck no it sounds nothing like Sonic Syndicate.

Speedy: I like it more than Dark Matter Dimensions, I feel the band has sort of got themselves fit with the new singers at this point. The music is top notch SS as always. It certainly doesn't push any boundries but it's a solid SS album. I'd probably give it like a 75/80 out of 100... Which is a good score and it's a relistenable album.

Like the difference between something being shit and being the shit, thought you meant it in that way.

The 8 minute long songs where the sections and parts go on for too long was a big turn-off for me.

I listened to Waves a dozen times and I can't remember any of the riffs or melodies, except for Under a Luminous Sky, which I really liked. Even though I typically changed the song 4 minutes in...

Like I said, heard a few comparisons to them, not heard it yet so not formed my own opinion . I'll give it a spin, they're one of those bands that seem to have everything right except for that little spark that brings it to another level.

They had it but the old singer left.



Well I guess I'd hate to be in the country that viewed tits negatively.
