Edguy and Sonata contributed nothing to power metal, they negate the very term I would imagine.

Thrash is so dead. When hipster kids start nonchalantly copying your musical style calling it a revival, it's dead.

Alright, I think I know what my problem is : the singer's voice. Listening to the album right now. I headbang like crazy on instrumental parts (e.g. the 5-minute instrumental break of No Stone Unturned), but nothing otherwise. The guy's just irritating me.

Anyway, back to topic. METAL :dio: !

Yeah, whether you like those bands or not Steve those were very influential power metal albums in the 90's.

Nonsense, there are plenty of Incantation worship bands to power the world for the next 5,000 years.
