Amen. :dio:
WITTR's demo is a million times better than anything Xasthur could ever hope to do. Mind you that their demo is the best thing they have ever done.

Their demo is very good.

WITTR is massively overrated, and the weakest song off of Telepathic with the deceased is better than their last two albums and demo combined.

This just goes to show me that you haven't heard their demo. I don't care how overrated their later stuff is. Black Cascade probably is but their demo is fucking sick. I don't know; I've only heard Bloodstained Mirrors but WITTR's demo I refuse to back down on.

Listening to now and I've always loved it but I'm not sure as to what bands, sounds or albums it has influenced.

The dillinger Escape plan - taking mathcore to a whole new level and a very experimental band like BTBAM.

Moonspell - gothic metal but they dare to add growling( yes other bands do the same but not like these guys) an such and other elements.

Genghis tron - Biggest name in Cybergrind, i can't wait to see bands that have a big influence from these guys

I'd say it's still the following:

Slayer
Metallica
Exodus

Darkthrone
Emperor

Napalm Death

Morbid Angel
Cannibal Corpse
Deicide
Suffocation

Helloween
Stratovarius
Dreamtheater

maybe they were around earlier, but there not much of a cybergrind band, industrial death at most. and Industrial music just has a influnce of electronic music. Genghis of course being real cybergrind uses a hell of allot more in there songs. Im trying to say they have an influence on the genre and not a influence of the creation of cybergrind.

What influential stuff has Darkthrone produced post-2000?

Or Emperor for that matter. I'd say Emperor influence the late 90-s most of all, not the 2000-s.

It is his way of saying that nothing in metal has changed and everything new is being influenced by the same old bands.

Emperor never really had much influence, at least past Nightside. Greatness naturally does not have to equal influence.

I haven't listened to much Genghis Tron mind you maybe once or twice through each full-length but when I listen to bands like Eustachian I hear much more of a Berzerker sound. Genghis Tron never really seemed all that grind-y to me, much more of a mathcore sound a la DEP or Botch. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs.

What cybergrind bands are you referring to?
