Running Wild did the pirate stuff much better.

Exactly, these guys are a novelty music hack group and should be playing at Long John silvers (no pun intended). Their music sucks and approaches Turisas and Manowar in terms of cheesiness and downright horror. I just heard both songs and it all sounds the same to their past garbage, when will this band grow some balls and actually sound like they're playing metal?

Wow, I didn't even know they had a new one out. I enjoyed their first two albums so I'll probably listen to this one sooner or later.

I don't understand why people keep saying this. It's true, but completely irrelevant. They're two completely different bands.

That use lyrics relating to pirates. I said that RW does the pirate stuff better than Alestorm.

You timed this review with the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie release?

I liked their first album, but the whole idea of "Pirate Metal" is getting a bit old...

Turisas is way better than this crap Steve. I'm happy to see so much love for RW, Black Hand Inn has always been one of my fav, a true masterpiece.

Every Alestorm song I heard struck me as a poor man's Ensiferum.

Isn't this type of post the message the band was trying to convey in "Scraping the Barrel"?
