Both you and ness shouldn't be throwing stones.

two words;
Kincaid and Banker...
possibly the two least metal things in the existence of man.

Ok first off since Vox apologized I'll do the same.

Second V come on dude you're no saint around here either. How many times have you slammed on someone for something stupid not that I disagree with you but again throwing around the stones saying works both ways.

But I don't want to get into an argument considering I respect your opinions around here and admire the fact you want to have things cooler than an iceberg around here.

No, no saint, but the only person I really give a hard time to is noodles, and that's very rarely in malice.
Not to say that I haven't been a dick at times, either.

Regarding trapt... well, he's a Marxist.

I think Trapt died by the hands of an anorexic Wolves in the throne room mallgoth, him and Khelek hardly ever post anymore.

I like how this argument is going down in the In Flames thread rather than the LB one. Leave the poor guy alone; we've all seen worse tattoos.

As far as the tattoo goes, this is the first time anyone has ridiculed it. Either I have nice friends who don't want me to be offended, which is cool too, or they truly like it. I have replaced the picture cause I was offended by the stupid tattoo comments. I felt those comments were a little below the belt. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The truth is I am fascinated with space so the tattoo suits me.

Obviously you didn't see my reply earlier in the thread, jackass.

Would have been nice to see that in your review, and I don't see how it's a huge drop off from ASOP really. You also spend plenty of time saying " Oh man it's just not old In Flames. " and " Whatever happened to In Flames " as if it's a hot new topic.

That being said I didn't realize after clicking the link to comment on the album that I had to seek through the entire thread to double check to see if you had anything more to add, jackass. :)

Four songs into the album loaded with 13 odes to the brown stuff that comes out of our assholes, and I literally can't take anymore of the stuff. Ander's voice is barely hanging on anymore, and the riffing is incredibly unimaginative with leads even stolen from Come Clarity. Let's face it these guys are at their lowest point, they may as well get on their knees and given David Draiman a blowjob because they're on Disturbed's level of mallcore dogshit.

Notice how I said he had very good point. It's true, I should have mentioned it in the review. I personally don't think my tone suggested that new In Flames albums tending to suck is something new, but if that's how you chose to interpret it you could have just said that instead of implying that I am somehow unqualified to write the review.

I do see it as a big drop off from ASOP, especially in the songwriting and guitar departments. Even after 4-5 listens it was difficult for me to remember even a few songs off this one as they just tended to run into one continuous stream of boredom, not so for ASOP. I had reservations about calling this their worst album ever, but after going back and listening to some of the previous few albums I can say with confidence that it is, in my humble opinion of course.

I would have to say by far their worst album is Soundtrack To Your Escape. It's probably the only In Flames album I never spin and honestly there are no tracks from it I care to listen to.

I agree A Sense of Purpose had quite a few memorable tracks like Alias and March to the Shore. After 4 spins I have no desire to go back and listen to it.
I'm not saying it's a bad album per say, but it ain't great either. In fact it's pretty bland. I won't mind if my friends play this album but it's not one I would choose to play given other choices. For me this album is a 65/100 tops. I'll give it a few more chances but doubt my opinion will change.

Someone said no catchy songs but then I'm rocking out to the first song and title track at the chorus? And it even has a classic In Flames solo.

I know, right? Are they selling out for radio tunes or are they not catchy enough? It seems like there is criticism coming from every direction, but is anybody actually listening to the album? It's not a future classic, but it does have some really good songs. There are some great melodic leads and some good solos. I could be way off base here, but to me it actually sounds like ASOP meets Clayman.

Oh, and Steve, speaking of unimaginative, almost every one of your posts has some kind of reference to fecal matter. Grow up. If you don't like an album, explain why in an intelligent matter. Right now you just sound like a 13 year old trying to be cool and failing badly.
