They peaked at Seediq Bale it seems. That album is so fucking good with stuff prior to it being interesting. I thought Mirror of Retribution or whatever was a total CoF ripoff which is so what their music shouldn't be reduced to. Eh, I won't even attempt this album probably.

The album can be streamed from here.

Would probably give it a higher score, tbh, but need more listens.

They are all flash and no balls. Great videos, hot enough bassist to make a name for themselves in mags, yet no music to back it up. So sad. Their messages actually seemed interesting.

"Indigenous" sounding instruments have been brought to the fore. Sadly that doesn't make the songs any more interesting... They lost the epicness the older stuff had, the drumming has gotten less blasty and is actually dynamic. The vox have also gotten a little more growly then snarly. It's not doing it for me, though.

I really enjoy Seediq Bale. I've always felt that the rest of their work lacked. it seems like the new album doesn't have much.

Pretty much, aye. Shame they couldn't live up to the scope of the concept :/.
