Tube of the Resinated was actually really enjoyable so I'm pretty excited to listen to this.

I think this album is like a 70. Good death, but nothing spectacular. I gave a huge rant on the Metal Review site already, but I will reiterate. Too many great death metal albums this year to waste a lot of time on this one. I personally think Byfrost's "Of Death" blows this away. The reason I mention this is because I feel Byfrost adds new flavor to the old school and Cannabis Corpse sounds like a tired and old formula that happens to have good musicianship and a good gimmick. This album is decent in it's own right, but I have not been listening to it much because there is so much better stuff out there right now: Decapitated, Hate Eternal, Origin, Exhumed, Amon Amarth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Today is the Day, Brutal Truth, and Wormrot, just to name a few. If you get bored with all that, check this album out. That's my personal opinion.

Essentially what I always assumed about this band. I'll have to check out Byfrost. How noodles was into them is what made me second guess this judgment.

Boo. You can never 'waste time' on good albums, even if you think others are better.

Time is too limited for just 'decent' albums. Good albums maybe but not decent ones.

The same story is true for books. Then again it's a matter that is very much so, subjective, so it can be highly speculative.

I wish I had time to listen to them all a lot. I have listened to this album a little. I just spend more time with others right now. Between rehearsals, looking for work, movies, video games, and the occasional pussy I must entertain to get some, this album just doesn't get a lot of playing time. Symphony X on the other hand. hahaha Anyway, It's pretty good and worth a listen I agree. It just comes off as a little cliche and forgettable. Oh yeah, I agree also with the book thing. I wish I had time just to read the stuff I really like much less take a chance on something I might.

This isn't bad! 84/100 might be a teensy bit too high, just because it's not terribly original, but I was surprised (like most people are, I think) to discover how solid this band is.

Weed, corpses, metal, a winning combination.
