This album does absolutely nothing for me. I suppose the days of me liking AA is over... Long over.

i still like these guys allot and wanna see them live but....this album was so fucking boring, the only thing that caught my interest was the SOAD cover which wasn't too bad.

I got this right after it came out,listened to it 2-3 times, and haven't come back to it since.. Nothing stuck out to me that I haven't heard before... However after seeing some of these posts I am going to revisit it and give some of the songs mentioned another shot...I saw them last april, awesome live show.... Vs. the world would have to be my vote for their best album...Then again that was the first one I ever bought so maybe it has sentimental value or some bullshit..

Amon Amarth are kind of the AC/DC of Viking Metal. Every album delivers more of the same, it's not bad, it just totally lacks any semblance of surprise.
Funny, when I think of it, the first AA album I listened to is also my favorite, namely The Avenger.
