Not gonna land in 2011, but according to this post from their website, Overkill are hitting the studio this week (it says early oct, so i assume) to record the follow up to Ironbound.

Skeletonwitch's new album is sounding pretty interesting....check out these two tracks.

http://www.skeletonwitch.com/

They've toned down the speed a little, and they've also removed that ultra polished sheen from the production. What you're left with is a very old school sound, slightly remeniscent of very early 80s black metallish stuff in a way.

Seeing them Thursday night.

Not loving it but it's solid.

I really love the new album. There seem to be a lot of post-black elements throughout and it makes for a really unique atmosphere. The opening track reminds me a bit of Immortal's newer stuff, even. Definitely a must-listen if you enjoy their previous material.

I won't pretend to know the first thing about post-black metal, so I'll take your word for it.

I plan to check this out for sure though, even though I liked their second one quite a bit less than their first (actually, after a couple of spins I totally forgot I bought it.....was quite excited to find it on my shelf thereafter, hehe)

So there are finally some samples out of the new mini album. The guitars sound really good and it sounds like there will be some really heavy parts. A definite plus that Shaun Steels is back on drums again--expecting much more interesting drumming this time too.

Haven't been this excited for an MDB album since Songs of Darkness.

Sounds interesting to say the least. They definitely aren't one to repeat themselves, that's for sure.

Got it today, and it is fantastic. Keep listening to Never Dead on repeat, not sure how the rest of the album after it sounds yet lol.

On my second full listen, this time with headphones. And... It's fucking killer! At first I thought worse than Endgame, but now I think it's better.
