You disagree?

I wholeheartedly do, indeed.

What's wrong with it? Seems a more than solid album to me, plenty of hooks and good rifflings.

It's the worst Mustaine's has ever vocals have ever been.
The riffing is kind of boring and, actually, nothing really grabbed me from the sole spin I've given it.
Honestly, there's too much good new music to keep listening to under-par albums by old farts trying to relive the glory days.

I like how you call Megadave's vocals bad and riffing boring and then praise Loutallica. Talk about under-par and old farts...

That said (or laughed), I don't like Thirteen. Except Never Dead. But the last 'deth album I liked was Youthanasia, so...

You guys all suck. New 'Deth is awesome. Definitely beats out new Anthrax, which I also really enjoyed.

Sudden Death and Never Dead on headphones is like taking crack while on speed. At least that's what it was like for me, don't know about you.

I feel the same way about this Megadeth record as I did with the previous ones. Some killer tracks, which are non-coincidentally fast tracks, and some filler, mid-tempo ones.

I'll be listening to it soon but honestly Endgame was sort of heartless and disappointing to me. I miss " Angry I got somethin' to say " Dave, like on United Abominations. At least that album sounded like it had more of an energy or emotion to it to me.

Everybody brings up United Abominations all the time like its the greatest thing they've done since reforming. But for me, I find it to be the weakest of the newer albums. Some good songs yeah, but it all seems pretty boring to me. I'll have to give it another listen today and see what I'm missing.

1 song does not make an album.

When that song is better than all the other songs on the new albums put together it does. Endgame and what I've heard of 13 can't touch it. For me, United Abominations is basically playing Burnt Ice 12 times and Never Walk Alone in the middle.

I'd say Never Dead is pretty good and can compare to Burnt Ice. I also really liked Headcrusher from Endgame. I'm listening to UA now, and I will admit, I have been missing out on a very good album for the last few years. But, I still wouldn't say it's the best once since reforming...

PS - my fav "new" MegaDave song is Back in the Day.

Those are all good songs. I'd add Blackmail the Universe to the list. But sadly I'm no fan of recent 'deth.

edit: and add Kick the Chair, and Truth be told as well.

I really enjoy the production on the album, and the guitar work is very Megadeth-y... If that makes any sense. Dave just seemed like he was really into the album and the songs he was making, at least most of them... And I personally like it a lot.

It's not metal but everyone should get the new Trapped Under Ice. :dio:
