The people on this site are so predictable.

It's not either Rust in Peace nor [place your second and third favorite Megadeth album here] so it sucks.
Well... It doesn't exactly suck. Actually, it makes me sad.

Yes, and you've told me I'm no fan of metal before too. Remember when we tried to get everyone to agree to one band that everyone liked? Simply impossible.

The last thing keeping me here would be to read whether Poster X likes a band I like or not, that line of thinking never ends well...even after the Steve years.

I found the last two records not strong at all, but quite average, especially Endgame.

Compared to almost all of the big four`s albums this last decade these two are the top. Also their best post RIP records alongside Countdown and Youthanasia, and I`m probably not alone on this one.
I'd put God Hates Us All or Death Magnetic over Endgame.

I'd also put Death Magnetic(and World Painted Blood or Worship Music) over Endgame.

Concerning God Hates Us All, this album is major crap, imo. It's the album where Slayer basically tries to sound like Slipknot. I don't mind if you like Slipknot, but personally i think they're utter shit.

Like I said compared to ALMOST all of the big four`s albums. Personally Death Magnetic is my favourite of them all, but Worship Music??? No way.

It's not as good as UA so it's not something I want to drop everything in order to download. I'd rather listen to Municipal Waste or something for punky thrashness which was what I loved about classic 'deth is all.

Who cares which of the big 4 have had the best album, Ironbound beats them all anyway :dio:

I think Endgame is superior to anything Slayer have done since Divine Intervention and better than anything Metallica have done since Master of Puppets.

I do like Death Magnetic and the last two Slayer albums but they're average in the grand scheme of things.

I think Endgame was a superb Megadeth album and easily their best since Rust In Peace.

As for Th1rt3en, it's probably on par with the last couple of Slayer albums - solid but nothing spectacular. They're going for a more Youthanasia vibe but it's not as catchy or crunchy.

Agreed! Ironbound is one hell of a Thrash album from the oldest Thrash band around.

I put Ironbound and Worship Music on par, actually.
Both great albums. :dio:

Worship Music is good but Th1rt3en is better and Ironbound beats them both by far.

Right. Ironbound is probably the greatest thrash record of the last decade. All our arguments are invalid.

The Evolution of Chaos is the best , and Ironbound is second best.

Endgame isn't terrible, but quite boring.Everything Megadeth released during the 90s,even Risk, is better, imo.

Really?

Really?!?

Really?!?!

I like the new Heathen, but it does not touch Ironbound. Ironbound just has that heaviness that just can't be topped.

Heaviness, production, flow, badassery, everything.

Don't get me wrong, Evolution of Chaos is great but, as far as old acts putting out great albums, Ironbound (and probably Worship Music but it's too fresh to be quite sure) is unbeatable.

Also, I'm yet to hear one young thrash act releasing and album of the quality of Heathen's, Overkill's and Anthrax's latest. There's always Vektor's debut (though its production is not too good), but, imo, they're in a league of their own and I haven't had the oportunity to listen to their new one.

I couldn't even finish listening to this. Boring. And the production is stale. I love pretty much all Megadeth but they've lost me with Endgame and now this. I mean it'll come up in the playlist every now and then and I don't hate it, but meh.

Also I like 90's Megadeth just fine, quite a bit actually. Just not Risk of course.

Yeah,really.
I like Ironbound very much, but not as much as the new Heathen.

And i can't stand the production on Ironbound, it's that kind of clean modern soulless production a la Andy Sneap, that all the bands signed to Nuclear Blast have these days, and that does not suit a thrash album at all, imo.

The production on Evolution of Chaos is way better, imo.And the music is flawless, bay area thrash a la carte.
