New Burzum is coming. Apparently called 'Umskiptar', it'll be very different from Belus and Fallen.

Awesome. belus and fallen really have no replay value for me after the initial listens. while they're decent albums I can't say that they were as good as shit off Aske or something like that.

Really? Belus no replay value? I don't play it often, but it always works very well when I do.

I wasn't that into them. Maybe I'll check them out again and get more into them but I would only put those albums some where around a score of 70-80. old school burzum is way better.

I much prefer new Burzum over anything he has done in his early days.

Am I the only one who was bored by Obzen and lost what little infatuation I had with Catch33 after it was out for a while?

Nah, Meshuggah are pretty dull. It's cool that they've got such a distinct sound, and that makes me think I should like them, but listening to most of their albums is always a chore. I can still get behind I and Catch33 though.

No. Although I never liked them in the first place.

they have flamenco bits!

(I'd probably think DEP were just as boring if they did their scree-dun dun-scree scree scree-dun song after song after song. Variety is the spice of life u kno.)

Some variety is helpful for these bands, yes. That is why my favorite Meshuggah songs are the ones with the extended jazzy guitar leads.
