I, for one, agree with you Chris. This is a great album with catchy melodies all over. It reminds me alot of the Dragonland album Astronomy, which is nothing short of fantastic.

I agree with Chris as well. I don't get why people are calling this "pop" metal or the even more idiotic "Shakira" metal. So if something has memorable and catchy choruses that's a bad thing? I thought this was one of the best debut cd's I've heard in a long time. I liked every song, some more than others, but every one was at least good. I give it at least a 90, maybe even a 95.

When I was 15 I used to complain that pop music was all about the sex appeal and not about the music. Now look at us. Would we even be giving this band a second thought if it weren't for the fit singer?

Judging from youtube comments the answer is no.

Not necessarily, but lets be honest: this is definitely pop music in structure and style. The video was funny.

Yeah, I listened to it now. It's well composed, but extremely trendy. The musicianship is there and the execution is good. I don't like the male voice. It reminds me of the typical heavy voice for american metal bands trying the Gothenburg thing. Kinda got a Shadows Fall heavy voice thing going on. The female voice is pretty good, but I know other bands that are doing this thing better and with more originality. I will keep giving it more chances cause it is quality music and my initial thoughts are biased. There is some pretty good guitar work. I remember a solo that showed technical prowess. First impression is that it's a little to trendy for me right now. 75/100 cause I know it's well done, but I have reservations.

Music like this sounds great the first few spins, but invariably has zero replay value - and that's the deal my dear. About as flat as Shakira's chest.

Her breasts are small and humble so that you don't confuse them with mountains.

Watched the vid for Hunger. Liked the part where they got beaten up. Fridge giving music lessons was fun. Plus, they can airbrush videos now? Technology, man.
