Before you think this is a weird thread idea I am just curious on how you react physically when listen to music, or are you perfectly capable of just listening to music without any odd exertion? For those that find themselves headbanging to the music, how often do you do this and during what peak or low of the song do you catch yourself doing it?

I definitely bob my head up and down (not really a full out headbang) and if I'm listening in my car I'll usually slap the hell out of the steering wheel.

I tend to be very peaceful, with no movement at all. Although, there are times where I headband but with subtlety, depending on my mood, the extremity will differ.

This, minus the car stuff. Never been a headbanger as such, but I do the involuntary clenched fist and hell-the-fuck-yeah moments that you get. Horns still get thrown, I'm not quite lost to jazz yet!

I transfer my weight from side to side a lot, sometimes it turns into full on dancing. Tap my hands on my thighs a lot. Skin gets tingly during the best parts. Girl singers get tears in my eyes sometimes.

I go berserk until I eventually break something (a mug, my chair...) or hurt myself (sore neck/fists, vertigo, falling on the floor, etc.)

Fucking metal.

Which means to you stuffing your face with a hoagie, and listening to Tankard.

I'm the guy who will stomp/mosh in his apartment to some PD. Some songs bring tears to the eyes. Generally bob my head. Will headbang and bang the steering wheel while driving. I lift my fists and drop 'em during breakdowns. I'm way too animated when it comes to music.

really? It's such a silly thing but my friend and I do it at hardcore shows. Full extension of your arm and swinging it forward to the breakdown. It's so fun.
