Verdict is still out on this one. I bought it a few weeks ago, but the few times I have listened to it I haven't really committed to any strong feeling about it.

"Solid albums full of killer songs that don't advance the genre one bit is what has crippled stoner into something of a one-trick pony, repeating the same tricks to please the same audience..."

That may well be because it's stoner rock. Seems pretty appropriate to me :P

I completely agree that the "Stoner Rock or Metal" genre is kinda bland. I really like this album, but if your looking for something fresh, look elsewhere. This is bluesy stoner metal and nothing more. It's great if you like that stuff, but not if you are looking for a groundbreaking album. I will always love these guys cause Time Traveling Blues came out when I had already been really into Cathedral for a while and got into the whole Sheavy, Sleep, Terra Firma, and Trouble thing. I'm glad they are still putting out material cause I always enjoy their work.

That is kind of what I am thinking as well. There will be days, I am sure, when I will play this and think it is just awesome cause it fits that mood, but for the most part it is just not very exciting or thought provoking. Of course that can be said about alot of bands. Still good though!
