I would agree except I love Forever Dead.
Other than that, a job well done, Chris.

But I love that song too ??? (I said it's one of the band's finest and the first in my Killing Songs list :) ). Unless you meant you don't like it, I'm unsure about what you meant.

Thanks for your comment,
Chris

Oh man, I so love this band. I also know that feeling when you mention it to someone and and they' re like; yeah RATM is awesome.
21 is very strong and consistent, perhaps a little bit too much on a safe side, but enjoyable all the way. And I agree, Forever Dead = killer track.

Just got back into this recently and it rocks, didn't give 21 the time it deserved when it was released. RAGE surely deserve more attention than they get for a three piece band with so much talent they are better than many bigger groups that get too much.

Forever Dead is the only track I can listen to anytime of the day. Solid album.

I am behind the curve on Rage. I have Speak of the Dead and Strings to a Web (which is a damn good album). Looking foward to giving this one a go. Nice review!

Nice review!

I'm a huge rage fan and this heavy album became one of my favorites instantly. I absolutely love the vocals, drums and guitars on every single track.. However... i just wonder:

Are none of you guys having trouble with the lyrics too?? I find them just a bit too simple, too ehh, stupid from time to time.. It's a metal album, not some cheap pop/techno album. It kinda ruins the amazing overall musicianship a bit for me..

grts!

I concur. Although to me it has been a major issue with Rage since the 80's, so I'm used to bear with the lyrics. Actually I don't pay much attention to them when listening to Rage.

I agree also but I've never got a RAGE release for the lyrics it's their music :dio: I dig, but in saying that many of their choruses are just so catchy.

Rage is one of my favourite bands... but this is the first time since Ghosts I got dissapointed. A decent album but I miss the melodies... Why the aggresive growling??? i hope they skip it for the next album...

3 great ongs though, 21, forever dead and feel my pain

Funny I almost thought the same after the first listen, then I left it aside and re-listened it every week, after 3 weeks I realized it's an album that needs to grow... Rage albums can take time to sink in completely, except Ghosts maybe :), definitely the most accessible album from Rage.

Just my 2 cents
Chris
