I have the promo. Not bad, but nothing mind-blowing. Will review in a week or two.

I wasn't sure if it was a new album or just a greatest hits or something. Good to know its an album, will have to pick it up after I read your review.

I've never understood why people credit St Vitus for anything.

They always sounded like a washed up Sabbath clone.

I liked it. Only so far they can push the existing formula, and given how their last managed to experiment and stay true to the Nile sound I'm confidently expecting a good album.

Agreed but when it comes to death metal of the more brutal variety I don't necessarily expect nor want any experimentation. That said I too am still expecting a good album. The live clip of Supreme Humanism of Megalomania sounded so awesome.

Nile probably needed a little experimentation at this point. The vocals will take some getting used to, but this is hardly the newest Morbid Angel. I'm definitely looking forward to this album.

Cryptopsy - Cryptopsy

1. Two-Pound Torch
2. Shag Harbour's Visitors
3. Red-Skinned Scapegoat
4. Damned Draft Dodgers
5. Amputated Enigma
6. The Golden Square Mile
7. Ominous
8. Cleansing the Hosts

Due some time this year, no label/self-released. Admit it, you're curious...

Another new Baroness song...http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/137 ... o-the-sea/

Pretty much not metal anymore, but still sounds good I have to admit.
