Indeed. That's why I used the word "appreciate" rather than "get into." I don't mind the blastbeats as it fits their music quite well. However, it has been the one-dimensionality of their music that has always kept me from enjoying the compositions in general. The new albums seems to breath some depth and dimension, surprisingly.

You have to be in the mood for anything. This moniker fits Marduk. As my workout/athletic/stress scheduling has gotten amped in the past two years, I find Marduk's discography fitting.

This stuff is fine, but if I'm going to listen to Marduk, I'm going to go to listen to my old 'Those of the Unlight' or 'Opus Nocturne' discs and then just move on to something else.

Kinda meh really but I love this band, and the album i'd love just to say I own it. The band's early material is classic early black metal.
