Just went old person style and emailed the record labels I've bought stuff from asking for them to include liner notes/lyrics/artwork with downloads :dio:

The song is in E minor, but the bridge, as you would call it, is tonicized to B phrygian (natural V in Em). The melody is arpeggiating a D major add9 chord, as a sort of pedal chord underneath the bass notes { B, C, G, A-G } combined with the guitar (power) chords { becoming Bm11/(b13), C6/9/(#11), Gmaj9, A6sus4/E-Gmaj13 } creating rich harmonic colorization. Also D, VII of Em, acts as an elongated substitute of the dominant (B or B7), enriched with contrapunctal bass movement.

An analysis of 8 bars of this song. :-P

Just got Tenhi's new album in the mail today. I can't wait to put in the stereo when I get come tomorrow afternoon. It'll be terrific, I'm sure. I'm not expecting anything less quite frankly!

Has anyone seen King Diamond in concert since late 2010? How was his voice if so?

He hasn't toured, to the best of my knowledge, since before 2009. King Diamond was suppose to tour with Kreator but the King hurt his back and the tour was cancelled. I had already purchased my tickets.

Sorry to hear that. I think I remember that happening. I ask because his voice has definitely changed a lot and was wondering what people's impressions may have been. I guess we'll find out this summer.

Didn't he have heart issues too?

I was floating around iTunes last night sampling music and I stumbled across a project from ex-Into Eternity guitarist Rob Doherty called Final Darkness. It was released in December of 2011. As I read the few comments on the page about the album I was shocked to learn that Rob had died last month from unknown causes. He just dropped dead...very sad.

I saw Vital Remains last month and the singer was talking about that. They even dedicated the song "Where Is Your God Now?" to him. Said that while in Canada they wanted to go to his funeral, but he would of wanted them to tour and rock out the metal instead, so that's what they did.

Doherty was a devout metal fan and musician there's no denying that. I'm very curious as to his cause of death. He was a bit younger than me so I always find news like this troubling. Damn shame.

This is a guess, but I'm pretty sure it was cancer. I'm pretty sure that's what the Vital Remains guy said.

I won't name them, but I've received a promotional email about a band that plays 'shit rock'. Is this some subgenre I've not heard of, or is this just a really badly-written attempt at selling your band?

What a terrible description. How would anyone ever win interest in their band by describing it as shit? Well, there's nothing like setting the bar high huh?

There is some really cool, obscure, and strange music to be had over on Bandcamp. I'm finding that I search for music more there than anywhere else as of recent.
