Sorry the other thread disappeared. I'm gonna take Metal Blade's word for it that demos/rehearsals over the original master tapes for promo only is legal and well and good.

You know the rules. I do these in one take more or less, not line by line nor do I patch in over mistakes and my numerous monitoring difficulties have been well documented.

If you don't think I am loud enough, sorry, It was obvious when I mixed them that I was louder. Due to stupidity and other mistakes I ended up masking myself way too well on some of these to where the overtones are the only part that can be heard loud enough and the funamental note is too close in volume to dominate over the original.

First up is PURE, but it has some sloppy mistakes. The tone is right where it needs to be and I'm gonna do a real version I can send to the band with the overdubs and everything.

The trick was to put on the headphones and make myself virtually deaf so I can only rely on my bones vibrating. And vibrate heavily they do as I hit 120db. "Trying" to hit the high harmonics or somehow thinking I can make them "sharper" or whatever resulted in 5 years of clusterfucks as evidenced by everything else ever posted on here. I learned how to sing deaf with my loud ass tower speakers and no mic...why I thought that wouldn't work is again, a mystery that only my subconscious has the answer to.

It's cool that I won't be able to hear myself in concerts. That's an advantage for me You really need to feel the vocals and not hear them. And relax your tongue! Shove it back down your throat even.

Why don't you just use karaoke versions of the songs that actually have those, like Wind of Change?

That would defeat the purpose Hansel, which is mask the part of voice that sounded horrible because I didn't quite have it down. In any event after today's recordings made these sound like a fucking embarrassment and my game can't possibly get much better after fixing a bunch of leftover nagging issues this week and hearing myself basically do everything perfectly.

You'll know the real shit is here soon enough when the original track is barely audible.

I downloaded Pure and couldnt hear your voice. All I heard was the studio recording of Pure and barely heard someone's voice in the background.
