Brew Dog. Seriously, go try it.

Moorings sells Heritage live cider. Sometimes the pump gets clogged for apple chunks stuck in it. Absolute killer.

$9 a twelve pack as compared to the High Life and PBR $7? It's much cheaper than Arrogant Bastard's $4 a bottle.

9 dollars is like 6 pounds, right? That's cheap as fuck.

I'm obviously thinking of Rolling Rock as the regional Pennsylvania beer that it was before it was sold to Busch in 2006; I guess they changed the pricing when it became nationalized.

Ahhhh yes. The best part about it is that they still have the original label about how it is brewed specifically in these fancy casks and all this just the way they've done for a century "to honor tradition", that is, it is now brewed like any other Anheuser-Busch product mass produced yet they keep the old label on their "to honor tradition".

Yeah, Rolling Rock became a big joke here in PA for a long time after the sale; I honestly don't know anyone that still drinks it, save my father once every blue moon. Maybe I'll have one in your honor now as I hadn't thought about the beer in ages.

BLUE MOON

Rolling Rock is still better than Natty, and similarly priced.

Stone Brewing Co is so damn good...since I turned 21 I'm able to drink good beers. mmmmmmm

Fuck buying, me and some friends have started brewing our own beers. Double, triple hops and some different kinds of white beers so far, plus the second lambic (so we can brew gueuze next year). Really fascinating hobby.

It's always nice to taste your own "product".
I know it is with weed, I can't see why it'd be different with beer. :)

This. Have you had a chance to get any of their specialty releases? They have the Oaked Arrogant Bastard or the Double Bastard, which both are amazing.

But you really can't go wrong with any of theirs, the Sublimely Self-Righteous, the Imperial Russian Stout and the Ruination IPA which is so much better than their regular IPA.

Oh, and everyone who has an interest in craft beers should look for New Holland's Envious. That stuff is amazing, a dark, sweet beer with a solid taste of pears (which I guess they brew with in the bottom of the barrel).

My budget has slimmed down significantly, so has my beer tasting. I tried domestic beer, I couldn't make it through the whole case. I've been sticking to, whatever is on sale. Last week I had Fat Tire cans, 24 for $20. Costco has been good to me.

the craft brewing thing in Portugal is pretty much non-existent, sadly :(

on the plus side, the two large breweries make pretty good beer and cheap too. €1.5 per litre bottle on the supermarkets, for Sagres (owned by Heineken) and Super Bock (owned by Unicer, don't know who is behind that company, though.. probably Carlsberg or some shit).

both beers are easily superior to Heineken and especially Carlsberg, which i honestly can't understand why it's so popular.

+1, can you even fathom why Belgian people drink it? Tastes like stale coffee to me.

Heineken is legitimately awful, I guess I can be glad Carlsberg isn't prevalent in the states.

My town's beer, made using thermal water from natural springs at 70 °C (158 °F).
And is really good, but expensive.

Belgians drink that crap? for shame.

never had that seemingly artisan spanish beer, but damn, san miguel and the like is fucking awful. every portuguese person i know who vacations in spain usually brings a trunk full of super bock.

I think one of the good beers I used to drink was Hoegaarden. I haven't had a beer in a very long time, though. I've always preferred wine.

Spanish artisan beer is very good (well, I only have tasted catalonian ones). Of the typical spanish lagers, Estrella Damm is the best one. Cruzcampo, San Miguel and Mahou are very bad. If you can find Moritz, is really really good, the best one, but it's hard to find.

Belgium has tons of great beer but you'll be amazed (and ashamed) to see what crap beer most Belgians settle for.
