I loved this album upon my first hearing. There's nothing on it that would seem to be hard to digest or not grabbing my attention upon first hearing it, however.

I'm glad u like it (P.A.) also. I'm seeing them perform in September and I am already quite ready!

That's excellent. I saw them a few years ago on their Enemy of God Tour. Their performance was thoroughly brilliant.

I haven't seen Kreator since their Violent Revolution tour. It's just too bad that they couldn't include Sodom on this tour, as I've become a HUGE fan of Sodom just recently, devouring lots of content. Somewhat a fan of Accept, I'm sure they will be great live as well.

I just bought this and have given it numerous listens over the last few days. I come away each time feeling that this is the type of album that all bands aspire to create. Meaning that there just isn't a bad track, a bad note, not one questionable moment. This is definitely one of the best albums that I've heard in years.

Indeed! It's quite excellent!

It's very good. I don't know if it's as perfect as Raven thinks.

I'm not very keen on Mille's clean melodic singing in places (this was an issue on Hordes of Chaos as well). Not because he has a bad voice - his voice is ok - but just because his singing is very cheesy for some reason. His accent doesn't help, I think.

I see what you mean. I think what you're describing would be a very particular matter of taste and as a result very much an subjective thing.

I love his "clean melodic singing" exactly 3:00 into "From Flood Into Fire". That and the immeadiately following short, mild muscial piece really create a varied dynamic that in turn amplifys the song's overall heavy, just beyond mid pace, rocking nature.
That particular part of that particular song are at the top of my 'wish-to-see' list when I see them live next month. Hopefully they can pull off the stark changes in mood that they succeeded in doing in the recorded version.

I would say the band collectively realized the faults of Hordes of Chaos and decided to revamp their songwriting similar to that of the prior LP Enemy of God. Some songs are slightly more anthemic and others retain the melodic riffs from Enemy of god. Its definitely one of my favorites this year that proves the band still has life in them, and Id be hard pressed to find another thrash band that has been as creatively diverse yet still been masterful at making this music as Kreator :dio:
