Did nobody notice new Master? It's nothing new, but those old bastards are still rumbling away. Not as good as The Human Machine, but still pretty good. And yeah, it's fucking Master.

I noticed it, but from what I read and expected thought it wouldn't beat THM. That, and not having heard the latest Asphyx still meant I skipped it...

^Bought that when it came out. Too bad it didn't have replay value after the first twenty listens.

Yeah, I was looking to spend as less money as possible for an album. Found this to be 5 bucks (new), So I picked it up. It's a great fuckin' listen. 20 listens is pretty damn good! I don't think I'll even play it that much. Maybe in the course of 2 years or something. It's highly original and creative, however.

It appealed more than their most recent album did to me. Better songwriting, even if not up there with Blood Mountain.

Alright, So, since I'm not buying online anymore I pick the best available options at my local record shops:

High on Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis
Cathedral - The Ethereal Mirror (limited edition w/EP)
The Sword - Warp Riders
Cauldron - Burning Fortune
Death Angel - Relentless Retribution

These are uncharacteristic of me to buy but I'm giving others genres that I almost never listen to a try and I am very much liking what I hear.

That's a nice and, agreed, unusual selection for you.
Care to tell us a little more about what it did and what you liked about those?

I bought :
Roger Waters - Music from the Body
Neil Young - Chrome Dreams II
Lee Scratch Perry & Dub Syndicate - Time Boom X De Devil Dead
UB40 - Signing Off/The Lost Tapes
Vulcain - Desperados
Vulcain - Big Brothers
ADX - Execution

Testament - Dark Roots of Earth

Thoughts on it later when I give it a listen.

No. I'm not that big of a fan. I was going to, but it wasn't available.

How do you like the new Beardfish? Is it any good?

I just brought it back from the shop. Haven't had the time to sample anything from it yet.
