Excellent album! I have a great feeling that you're going to be a great asset to this website Milan.

A fine album and my favorite from their post Eternity material. Thanks for the review.

Milan, will you be hitting more of their back catalog?

I wonder why this isn't a classic! Best Anathema album for me.

Thanks everyone! Glad you liked the review, although in hindsight I think it's a bit too short.

I had already decided to write up a review for Alternative 4, that one's coming next week or the week after that. I'm not that familiar with their back catalog but I was thinking about starting out with reviewing their debut instead of Alternative 4 and working my way up from there. Maybe I'll just do that, it should be very interesting!

Karma: I actually thought about making this a classic because in my opinion it is, but for some reason I doubted anyone would agree with me.

One Last Goodbye is such a tremendous and incredibly emotional track. If that solo at the end doesn't move you then you're probably not human nor any being with an emotional value. Definitely the track that stands out for me. Although the album as a whole is full of emotion and captivates the inner-soul in its depths.

Absolutely terrific album, gets better with every listen and never fails to reach into your soul. And One Last Goodbye is indeed a fantastic song, I could've written an entire paragraph for that one alone.

Edit: I just had to listen to One Last Goodbye this morning. Brought back memories that nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Haha, touché! I've decided to do their entire discography from their debut onwards (instead of just doing Alternative 4) but in order to do that I obviously I have to get hold of it. Those reviews are coming, I just don't have an exact deadline set for them since I'd love to review some other stuff as well in the meantime.
