Boring album from a band that released one good album, Bonded by blood is great the rest is kind of flat with the exception of Tempo of the damned. Even then Baloff kind of flattens Bonded by blood with his terrible vocals, but Holt makes some good riffs on that album at least. They are overrated though

:dio: A classic in my opinion, but happy to see it reviewed never the less.

A classic in my opinion too....it *almost* got the classic treatment. Can't tell you how close it was.

A few good tunes, not worthy of anything more than a 70.

My thoughts exactly.

A classic? No way.

On influence alone, I think this album is a classic.

Listen to this album beginning to end, and then tell me how many times you've heard those riffs pilfered by other bands. These riffs have been stolen SO often. And I mean from pretty much every track, not just one or two songs.

You have a point Bar, but still the quality of the songs leaves much to be desired. I only really like the first two songs of the album, The Last Act of Defiance and Fabulous Disaster. The rest is quite average.

A lot of the mid-paced stuff is found in lots of terrible nuthrash bands. I don't think that speaks well in terms of how Exodus's music should be seen, especially when there are far better thrash bands to steal from.

I agree with you Bar. Everyone tries to sound like Exodus. Unlike what everyone else says, I don't think it sucks. I actually like a lot of mid-paced metal. It depends on the band. Mid-paced metal is good if you are tired of the one riff frontal assault of full thrash. Thrash is good to listen to when you're pissed or in a party mood. Mid-paced is good when you are in a lazy or somber mood or feeling experimental. I really don't think of Exodus as being mid-paced anyway. The music is still fast. I think of Pantera being more midpaced than this.

Heh. You two are not gonna be happy with my Pleasures of the Flesh review, then.

Agreed with the rest of Ganesha's order of goodness, though.
