Very good album. You can't go wrong with the King. Amon Belongs To Them has one of my favorite riffs.

Only an archive? This album is no doubt a classic in my book. One of his best as far as production, songwriting and overall musicianship. :dio:

I would agree with that. Been a long time since I've listened to Conspiracy and Voodoo, but I remember thinking this was better than Voodoo.

Still, none of those compete against the King's real classics: Fatal Portrait, The Eye & Abigail.

"Abigail" was THE classic King Diamond album, but at least 4 or 5 of his albums can be considered classics. This album is no exception...great songwriting and the production was far superior to "Them"

Nope, I didn't.

Conspiracy, Abigail and The Eye had the best production values. Fatal Portrait was good but the guitars suffered in the mix. Also, King pretty much sang falsetto from start to finish, never using his normal singing voice.

Easily a classic. Andy LaRocque is critically underrated.

Yes, and he's easily one of the best producers around too.

I don't think it's a bonafide classic (I would rate later works like the Puppet Master higher) but still obviously very very good .. would probably rate it a bit higher.

If The Eye is considered a classic then I think I'll just stop buying King Diamond albums. It was my first, and I think it's boring as hell.
