Actually, you should just stop what you're doing and download this album. The album is amazing if not one of my favorite things ever. Sadly, they stooped to the level of gore porn as if that would influence people's values and opinions.

so i listened to it. and i watched the video for forced gender whatever the fuck. video was insane on a whole new level of just insanity. album was cool. some really nasty riffs and some sick drumming but not really my thing.

Surprised to hear that, since you're usually very open minded. This is probably my favourite album of the year. Will be in the top 3 guaranteed.

I've been open-minded lately myself, but I didn't love this album either. Liked and respected the talent, sure, but that was it.

I wasn't a big fan of the clean vocals, and most of the track lengths are too short for my general preference (remember I liked Natasha over Terrifyer?). Kingdom of Tyrants though? Band has lots of talent.

Easily the best death metal album this year, nothing even comes close to it. The band pushed themselves in every creative way possible, and they put to shame the weak new Cannibal corpse and all of the terrible Incantation clones that have come up this year.

Define 'fresh'. Among death metal albums over the past couple years I'd put it in my top 10, but probably not top 5.

Fresh as in something entirely different and in that respect, I'm only pointing towards the eerie vibe in Ryan's clean vocals. They do so much work and given that I've only really been impressed by bands like Ulcerate over the last few years, then it really makes this album stand out insofar as there isn't much like it, except The Harvest Floor and even it lacked these vocals albeit an attempt via Jarboe.
