Running Wild - Adrian SOS.
Short and sweet, abrupt ending though. Loved the solo, not very keen on the vocals. Great old school energy. 6/10

That gets a solid 1/10, despite its awfulness she's still a better singer and organ player than me. I'm saving the zeros for something truly awful.

Darklology-Violent Vertigo

6

Good guitar tone even though the riff jumps around in that stereotypical prog tone, and that snare has that rubbery Devourment/St. Anger vibe. Vocalwise the guy is skilled if not unmemorable, around 3:00 the song just kind of lags out and the vocals goes through an unneeded plug. The solo is great but the prog thing hampers would could be a great power metal band in the vein of Pharoah and others.

Darkology - Violent Vertigo. Solid prog/power metal. Not my cup of tea, but I can totally understand why somebody might dig it. The vocals are just a bit off. Liking bands like Symph X, the vocals are close but they aren't that. I don't know if it's due to the familiarity of bands I used to like or if this is actually lower quality. I don't like the moment when power metal tries to slow it down to get some evil chugging in. 5/10.

Edited to get back in order.

Meliah Rage - The Witching. I hated the vocals yet loved the chorus. Rest was lackluster too, but that chorus was such an awesome moment. 6/10

Motorhead - Them Not Me. I had never heard a track off Overnight Sensation honestly. It's surprisingly heavy. Solid 'head. Damn. How had I missed that album? Unless it's the only good track on it... 8/10.

The main riff is a crunchy and heavily downtuned Coffins-esque mixture of doom/heavy hardcore, vocals more or less you're Eyehategod influenced shout/scream. The main riff deviates little just a solid crushing doom chug throughout most of the four minutes, the drumming just keeps the pace and the drums are way raw.

The whole album's solid; it's head, you know what you're getting.

Mortuary Drape - Obsessed By Necromancy

Started out slow and moody, not bad, but once the choppy, faster part kicked in it really didn't sound that good to me. The parts with heavier riffing are pretty good though, but the "verses" I did not like.

4/10

Acephalix - Deathless Master

Cool riffs, some almost punky parts which I really like, but me and grunts just doesn't get along very well. Otherwise very solid. 6/10.
