Either the most pretentious thing or the most awesome thing I have seen in a while.

Fucking Seasons of the Wolf dudes! Such an awesome band. Takes time to get used to the trippyness of everything but holy hell. Those riffs!

I prefer the less comical stuff and the more quasi harsh/intense stuff of his like Way I Am or all the stuff off the Slim Shady LP that wasn't My Name Is.

been keeping an eye on a "new" doom/death band from Utah called Nevertanezra for a little while now, reasonably solid debut album that got me very excited when I first heard it is well worth a look for anyone into doom, album is called NTNR, you used to be able to buy it from Doommantia.com but their store closed due to lack of funds so I don't know where you may find it now

three songs from the album

Nevertanezra - Seperation Anxiety

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46w9fwghS5w

Nevertanezra - The Fading

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO2iMm1Fvx8

Nevertanezra - To Suffocate

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlRByGuk700

sadly the band's vocalist Rick McCoy left to re-unite his prior band Avernus and their drummer David Dyer has also just left

would have thrown a couple of live clips from their gig at the Denver DoomFest but don't know if there's a limit to how many URLs can be posted at once

oh yeah and sorry if this isn't what the thread was really intended for

I've decided to eliminate listening to music at times when it is mostly background noise--when I'm browsing the internet, reading, playing chess, watching sports. Interested to see if this'll effect my listening habits. My prediction is that it'll make me do those other things less, while making me take time to listen to music more often.

Not a bad call. I'll be interested to see how that works out for you.

I mostly listen to music in this way. The notable exception is when I'm driving. I have a long drive to work and back, so I listen to a lot of music while driving. But I rarely focus on other things other than the music I'm listening to. That's why you so rarely see me posting in the now playing thread. For me music is enough entertainment, I don't really need any supplementary activity.

I'm much the same I listen to music and focus in on it but I can do that and post on here as well unless I really get caught in an album like I did with Exhorder's Slaughter In The Vatican yesterday just drove me into a one man mosh for the entire album

never listen to music when watching sport, especially when watching cricket the sound of bat on ball is sweet enough for me

Yeah, I listen to plenty enough music while driving and at work. I mean, I will play some stuff at home but not a lot....usually it would be a new album I bought.

man wish Orphaned Land would come out my way, wonder if they've found a replacement guitarist yet really should be paying closer attention to that since they're one of my favourite bands
