Iron Maiden-To tame a land

2

Dickinson's vocals sound like some rapcore douche trying to keep up with a lameass mid tempo number with an annoyingly loud bass tone, couple that with the laughably persistent dual melody guitar chiming in and the song starts off floundering, its hard to believe that the song keeps the entire awful pace except that break around 4:15 with that annoying buzzing bass. The solo is more or less the only passable part of the overlong piece of shit song, but since Frenchy has awful taste I'm not surprised he fellates over such a boring bloated corpse of a band.

Yattering - The Feeling: Not my thing, but some of the riffs were pretty good. I'd give it a 6.5... if the drums were reigned in a little it would have been better.

Heir Apparent - Graceful Inheritance

8/10

Nice 80's US Metal. A shame about the production, it's really thin.

Finsterforst - Flammenrausch

Good stuff! Not up to scratch on my viking metal, but I'm certainly going to have to hear the full album for this.

Dødheimsgard - Traces of Reality

Intro begins with a blasting quasi-Emperor blast/vocal work, but then quickly devolves into overtriggered, massively layered, and horrible Shagrath robot vocals. The main riff sucks its just some moron ripping on a power chord, and the keyboards are annoyingly chiming in giving it a Dimmu on steroids vibe. If it weren't the by the numbers blasting part I'd think this was a Dimmu song Shagrath was hiding in his cunt, awful song from an awful band

Necros Christos - Deathless in Spiritual Evil

7 / 10 Fairly standard old-school death with burpy vocals and a fair grasp of dynamics. Bolt Thrower b-side?

Even I, who am French, cannot take that much (hispanic) cheese metal.

Black Breath-Feast of the damned

Intro begins like a mid-paced Cannibal corpse riff except with that godawful Swedish guitar tone inspired by hacks like Dismember and Shitombed. Vocals thankfully are a throwback to crossover thrash/hardcore and while the riff is as flaccid as a wet noodle, the vocals are the only decent instrument. Too bad Swedish death metal blows or else the song might be as good as this band's earlier material.

There's a reason why this kind of band is lost to most metalhead's memories, they're not very good.

Agreed. I found nothing special about them.

Black Sabbath - Sweet Leaf

The very first Stoner Doom song. 10/10  Love those riffs and the overall mood of the song, not to mention that it's about weed!!!

Definitely one of the weaker songs off of Master of Reality, the main riff is too happy like Iommi decided to fart into his guitar and let it strum around till :049 when the beef of the song comes into being. Ozzy's vocals are unchanging throughout the song, singing about weed of course and lyrics that divulge the man's obsession with the leaf. I always skip the song, but Master of reality is one of the best heavy metal albums of all time.

The riff is happy because the song it's about weed, weed is happiness made plant.

Holy christ, that Dream theater song was awful.

Best of luck to whomever reviews it.
